Why We Started

In the midst of her courageous and inspiring struggle against tongue cancer, Carol Leigh Womack found comfort and relief in the warmth and softness of her Warmies and other soft furry friends.

In her memory, the Carol Leigh Comfort Project’s mission is to make sure that children and young people dealing with cancer can feel warmth and comfort of a warm, soft friend.

“On the hardest days, it’s often the smallest comforts that mean the most.”
